Ten students from Tshwaragano Primary School in Tokoza Park, Rockville, Soweto; were treated to a once in a life time opportunity by SEACOM to see a live 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ game. The students, all from Grade 6 and 7, and top of their class in Mathematics and Science, were taken to see Ghana vs Serbia in a match that set Loftus Versveld on fire.

Neotel planning reconfiguration on the SEACOM backhaul tonight; no serious disruptions to services expected
SEACOM experienced an interruption in its network on 14 April 2010 which lasted around seven minutes as a result of a fault on the Mediterranean section of the SEA-ME-WE 4 submarine cable system, which SEACOM currently utilizes to connect to London. SEA-ME-WE 4, a completely independent submarine fibre optic cable system to SEACOM’s, is operated by a consortium of some 14 telecommunications companies that own and manage the system stretching from South East Asia to Europe via the Indian Sub-Continent and Middle East.
